Let me start out by saying that this Ted talk is some thing I thought would be out of my reach of interest because it is mostly about architecture, which is a topic I'm not that fond of. The talk "Why the buildings of the future will be shaped by... You." By Marc Kushner actually was really interesting to me! The video was about how our imagination can mold the buildings of our future. There are two sides of this thinking. Innovation and symbol are these two things. Using these aspects in our buildings in the future the newest structures will be formed by us!
Marc Kushner talks about how buildings built in the same year could have a completely different design and look. One could be modern on the side of innovation, or it could look like a symbolic building in a way following old ways of building. The way we in the future can almost mold our structures with what we want is by using these two main thought processes. "Architecture is not about math or zoning -- it's about visceral emotions." Marc said. He means that building structures isn't about math equations area, width, height. It's more about emotions that are brought to us when seeing the structure.
This video taught me cool facts about the future of building and kinda actually interested me into more architecture. I agree with the concept Kushner is making because he provides evidence with his examples of different buildings built in the same year, with such different structure buildings. He really does prove how the buildings of the future will be shaped by Us. My favorite part of this clip is when Kushner shows the audience how the buildings of the future may work and look like. It really interested me the most! My least favorite part was the process of building. I overall enjoyed most of it.
Marc Kushner really did influence what matters to me. I now have so me interest in the topic architecture and it makes me want to learn more about it. I would recommend watching the video as I did although the video title may be boring it really interested me and increased my thought on the buildings of the future!
